Mathematical Reasoning Journal
Great for any grade level!
The Mathematical Reasoning Journal is a great "addition" to our math journal line.
- Write out the question or facts: Students are also given a space to make an estimation.
- Use one or more strategies to solve the problem: Students are able to construct a visual representation of the problem by charting and graphing.
- Math terminology: Students can list math concepts and terms that are learned in the lesson and integrate them into their constructive response.
- Apply your solution to another problem: Extends students' thinking by applying the solution to another problem.
- Justify your solution by explaining your reasoning: Students are asked to explain their approach and solution in writing.
